Salah responds to latest Madrid transfer speculation

Liverpool’s top scorer Mohamed Salah, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid has responded to the speculations.

The Egypt international has been a revelation at Anfield since his arrival from Roma last summer, scoring 17 goals and registering five assists in 22 Premier League appearances so far this season. Salah’s impressive performances have attracted the attention of Spanish giants Real Madrid, who reportedly wants to make the 25-year-old their next marquee signing. With Liverpool supporters still reeling from Philippe Coutinho’s £142 million transfer to Barcelona, Salah was quick to ease the Reds fans’ concerns by jumping on social media to rubbish the rumour.

- There is a lot of rumours that are false recently, and there will be no comment on them, Salah responded to the speculations via twitter.

The 25-year-old would provide much-needed firepower at the Bernabeu, with the former Chelsea man having scored more league goals than Cristiano Ronaldo (4), Gareth Bale (4) and Karim Benzema (2) combined this season.
