Futsal: Parakeets change of tactics works against Bajim

Parakeets collected their second victory of the season with a commanding 5-2 win over Bajim on Thursday night at the International Futsal courts in Mengo.

Their head coach David Bbale had promised to alter their defensive style for a more aggressive approach which finally yielded results.

Duncan Kabuubi and Godfrey Sekyewa led the surge with a brace each to add on Patrick Odhiambo’s strike.

The team moves one place away from the bottom of the table with only seven points from ten matches.

At the other end of the table, KSPG and Dream maintained their chase for the ultimate prize with 4-2 and 5-3victories over Yeap Stars and Yeak Kabowa respectively.

Former Uganda Cranes international, Sulaiman Mutyaba, scored a hattrick for Dream.

The two move to 25 points, four above Riham who were beneficiaries of three free points after Elephants failed to produce their players’ licences.

Kabowa United also received three points without touching a ball because their hosts failed to turn up.
