Mapinduzi CUP: Yanga through to semis, URA seek point against Simba

Tanzania Premier League defending champions, Young Africans became the second team to book a slot in the semi-finals of this year’s Mapinduzi cup following a scrappy 1-0 win over Zimamoto FC on Sunday.

Emmanuel Martin scored the only goal at the hour mark to send the green army to twelve points and consolidate the second position in group B.

Singida United lead the group with similar points but with a better goal difference. The two will face off in the final group B match on Monday.

Ugandan ambassadors, URA FC, will open the day’s basket against Simba from 4 pm.

The tax collectors require a point to book the only other slot in group A. Azam booked the first slot with nine points from four games.
