Kirinya Jinja SS FC and Makerere University Business School head coach Charles Lukula Ayiekoh has been appointed the head coach of the Busoga province for the 2018 Fufa The Drum tournament.

The Province‚Äôs executive committee arrived at the decision on Thursday evening after a meeting at the Busoga Kingdom hall.

Ayiekoh has named a tentative list comprising 78 players across the Uganda Premier League, Fufa Big League and some foreign players.

The foreign legion include Khalid Aucho (heading to Orlando Pirates), Isaac Isinde (Buildcon Fc, Zambia), Shafiq Batambuze (Singida UTD, Tanzania), Moses Oloya (Vietnam) and Emmanuel Kalyowa (Kenya).

- We have summoned a big number but shall be able to trim down in two weeks time. We have divided the players in two batches of 39. The summoned players will kick off training on Thursday 11th January, Ayiekoh told Futaa.

Kirinya assistant coach Hassan Zungu will deputize Ayiekoh while Kenneth Magada trains the goalkeepers. Uganda Cranes manager Crispus Muyinda will perform the same role for the province.

Several players in the squad like striker Milton Karisa and Samson Kirya had already been summoned to other regions. The coach says that the players are at will to honor or turn down depending on their wish.
